Reflection 6

In this class I honestly did struggle. I can only blame myself for this struggle because I was going through some family legal issues, which took up most of my time. I would have withdrawn had I known the withdraw date wasn’t the same as the regular classes are. With that being said I tried to finish out strong and be apart of this class. I do believe that I learned a lot of valuable lessons to further help me in other classes and my career in general. It was extremely interesting to learn about the different organizations and to see how they used social media to increase their donations and spread awareness. These organizations really have to organize and put so much time into figuring out a social media strategy that will really benefit them. Many businesses and organizations put teams into their PR building to ensure they will be reaching all of their audiences on all different social media platforms. This class informed me of the many different qualifications and requirements that it takes to work in this field, which is something I am truly interested in. Some of the work we needed to complete seemed a bit repetitive at first, but after learning more about each organization it was clearer to see the different specifications for each. I honestly believe that many companies and organizations can benefit from being used as examples for this class in the future to better their social media strategies. Although I didn’t do as well as I would have hoped to this class, many valuable things were taught and I definitely will utilize them in my future.
