My experience in this class is something I think I’ll always remember. I remember when I saw this class and how excited I was to take it, thinking it was going to be a little different. It wasn’t until the 2nd week when I realized how much I had to buckle down and focus on this class. I was happy to, I mea n, I love social media. That’s when I realized it was going to be more challenging than I thought, but the rewards were worth it. The most interesting thing about the course was how much it got my global health knowledge has raise. I was thinking it would be more focused on social media, which it kind of was, but we still did a lot with the non-profits and got to learn more about them too. I didn’t realize hoe much actually went on with social media, the tactics, and how important the aspects of it are. For example, the replies company makes, what they post, how often, the hash tags they come up with. It was fun to post every day, and use Instagram. I had friends coming up to me and asking about them and some even said they checked them out. It’s pretty cool to be able to spread the word like that. One thing I wish was different about the class is the length. If everything had gone on the entire semester and teammates were forced to meet face to face, things could have gone a bit more swimmingly. I plan on keeping up with the World Pediatric Project after this class ends and donating when possible. I’d even like to get into the social media aspect of advertising in the future if possible. Overall, I’m glad I took this course but I still wish that it had been a lecture type, and a full semester’s length.
