I signed up for this class because I am a huge social media user. I have Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. I really also needed some credits to graduate, and with a busy schedule decided to go with an online alternative to in class courses. At the start of this class I wasn't too thrilled at the thought of having a weekly Twitter assignment as well as the Instagram assignment. It took thought and a conscious effort to post daily and not forget my Instagram posts. I'm more of a reader and re blogger than I am an original content creator. The organizations talked about in this class were interesting and. I really enjoyed that we were able to focus on one organization, although I would have liked to choose one that spoke to me instead. I felt it lacked meaningfulness to each person because of that. I enjoyed a few of the Google Hangouts, but really found them to be a bit repetitive sometimes. I was impressed with how willing these organizations and people involved were willing to talk to students although it's free publicity and targeted interest. The lectures were interesting as well, but I learned the most from interacting with clients. I enjoyed this class, though.
