My experience in this course was stressful but eye opening. It was a lot of work crammed into the six weeks but definitely was interesting. This class was enjoyable because of the content but stressful because of the amount of work set in each week. I am positive if there was more time behind this course it would be one that majority of people would like and engage in gladly. The articles alone that we read every week made a big difference for me and it had me excited to read the week after’s. It was very informative and key information was given that we are usually not exposed to. I had an idea that social media was changing our ways of life but this course taught me how exactly it does and the effects of it in our daily lives. I also learned how social media helps and increases donations for non-profit organizations. Just seeing what the ALS challenge was able to accomplish it is evident the positive outcome that comes from connecting non-profits to social media. The challenging part of this course was meeting the timeline deadlines and taking in the week’s course information every week. As well as the technology usage, I am not too good with computers so it was hard getting in the hang of using it constantly. I plan on starting my own non-profit organization one day, this course benefits me because I got a chance to see how much it takes to run a non-profit let alone just the social media aspect of it. It was good seeing the challenges they came across to help me gain a better understanding on how to figure out how to overcome those challenges. Overall, this course had more positive outcomes then those negatives ones I came across. I am glad I gave it a chance because I made it through! Thank you for all your assistance.
