This class was very informative and I think I learned a lot, and not just about social media campaigns. I learned a lot about social media platforms that I didn’t know and that was one of the tings that surprised me most. Thing like donation buttons, that bit.ly and ow.ly do not just shorten links but also help in the measurement of your social media engagement. Before I took this class I did not know about social media campaign measurement at all. I found it very informative and have actually talked my internship into buying me Hootesuite for me as I run their Twitter and Instagram for them. I also learned about these many great non-profits and the great work they do. But also how they run social medias and how non-profits have unique challenges when it comes to social media that other for profit brands do not have. Also how many of these non-profits communications departments are run on skeleton crews. I think that was a major flaw that I saw in the most of the non-profit organizations we met with through Google hangouts. I know that at non-profit organizations budgets are usually tight and there is just not enough money to have a large communications department but it is so crucial for a non-profit, even more so than for a for profit company. I think the major challenge I had with this class was working with in my group. That’s not to say that my group members were lazy or any less motivated t good than me but it is just difficult to collaborate and come together on idea when only 2 out of the 5 or 6 people in the group contribute at the same time. Also at least for my group by the last two weeks it was only about 3-4 of us left to do the work
