During week 5 we completed a large bulk of our introduction, social media strategy, fundraising strategy and team social media campaign. We still have to complete the bulk of the work on the multimedia production, which we have not discussed in depth yet, but we will start work on the presentation this week and work on compiling all of our work thus far and ideas into a cohesive powerpoint. Sean will take responsibility for the title, table of contents and introduction. Diana will take responsiblity for future directions/thoughts. The other work will be split up amongst the other group members evenly.
We will evenly split up the social media campaign and team work, so everybody will only have to write about a page or so, then split up the 1 page items, like the title, introduction, tracking&evaluation, fundraising, etc. We will complete a powerpoint without the audip portion as it is easiest due to the conflicting schedules and lack of time amongst group members. Our powerpoint will go into detail about our strategy across social media platforms and as well as what we think would be good strategy for the future when it comes to the World Pediatric Project.
This week we did get a good amount of work accomplished as both Caelon and Diana were active on Instagram promoting World Pediatric Project in various hashtags and other members were active on Twitter, etc promoting the non-profit themselves. We also made a lot of headway on our strategy report and it is shaping up really well into what it will look like as a final document. We believe our strategy, especially the micro donations and focus on the personality and invidiuality of the patients, will be helpful to the World Pediatric Project both now and down the road if they would like to continue to utilize the strategies we have developed. They are low-cost but effective for grabbing the attention of young people, especially social-media friendly milennials. This strategy is specifically effective for targeting young women, who are most likely to be mothers, and more likely to like and share these types of personal and detailed stories on social media. We will continue to work on using social media to World Pediatric Project's benefit throughout the week as we work on our final strategy brief as well as our power point presentation. We look forward to seeing the ideas that come out by the end of the week from other's groups as well as our own.
(Apologies that this is posted late, there was some confusion over who was going to post it)
