reflection 5 & first draft

Group 17 has been working very hard on our social media campaign for the Preemptive Love Coalition. We have spent much of the week shoring up our ideas. We are trying to come up with the best campaign possible. We have had ideas that have gone up and down our drawing board. We have had many challenges that we have had to deal with but we as a group have worked through them. We have been in constant communication on our group Facebook page. We believe that we have put together a great first draft and we look forward to implementing the edits that Dr. Messner and Ms. Guidry give us. Some of the things that we did not accomplish this week are as follows: We would like to add more depth to our multimedia outlook. Group member Blake will be adding to this in week 6. We want to utilize a user friendly way to get out our message. We believe that world itself is a lot more user friendly and that people like giving their opinions on certain issues. Evan Flynn (who runs our Twitter page) will work on adding more graphics to our manual. We want to add graphics that will make a difference in promoting our cause. We also want to take screenshots of our twitter feed. This will show the progress that we have made in the few short weeks that the page has been up. Lauren Walker (who runs our instagram account) will be taking screen shots of our progress on Instagram. We will show the contest we have implemented and we will also show the effects of the pictures we have chosen to use. Group member Ty (who runs our youtube page) will continue to post uploading content to our page. We are trying to “Repaint Iraq” and show people that this country is more than just a war zone, we are trying to show that it is a place where families live and we are trying to show that it is a place that has culture. Group member Eric will continue to post content to our pinterest account, he will post ideas and tips that will help reshape users perceptions of Iraq. Group member Kurtis will continue to edit all of our pages, he will also help out in any way that seems fit. He will write anything that needs to be written and he will also help add content to any of the above pages. We, as a group also need to film our final project video. This video is essential in terms of displaying our final product for our campaign. We have one chance to get our point across. The Preemptive Love Campaign is a great organization that does some many great things for the people of Iraq. We hope that our ideas and our strategies will complement the great work that this organization has already done. We as a group look forward to the upcoming week, we look forward to the challenges that it may present, but the most important thing is that we relish our opportunity to get our message out for everyone to see. All in all, we are definitely ready for week 6.
