While we are wrapping up week five and preparing to go into the final week of this class group 18 has been busy putting out content across social media platforms, refining and contributing to our paper, and preparing for the group presentation. All of our group members have dedicated their social media accounts for this class and have focused the content on Preemptive Love Coalition. A few group members noticed that the content they were putting out started to attract other non-profits, health care focused accounts as well as marketing professionals. This was mostly observed on twitter.
This week our group members worked to each produce at least one vine video per person. This was challenging because we are promoting a non-profit that is based in another country so we do not have access to original images or videos to use. We found out that personal appeals, using materials in a stop-motion way and just trying to be energetic in our vines is one way to gain attention and to start to get more people aware of preemptive love coalition. At this time we are trying to find the best way to present these videos for the final presentation. We’ve considered having them all live with links on a single page or just highlighting them during the presentation.
Our paper is coming together with lots of content, ideas and recommendation for the future. We are continuing to drop in screen shots from our personal accounts to show a timeline of our efforts and to show the impact of our involvement.
Last week we discussed a crowd-funding campaign. We worked to change the language in the paper so that Preemptive Love Coalition understands that this is hypothetical and just a future recommendation. After looking at the many options for crowd-funding we decided to go with Indiegogo because it works well for other non-profits and is very simple and user friendly.
As this week progresses our group will continue to outline and craft how we imagine the presentation to look. As of now we want to keep it simple. We want to discuss the problems we identified, how we planned to address them, what we did as a group and how we see Preemptive Love Coalition in the future. We plan on using PowerPoint or InDesign to create the slides and then using either iMovie or Camtasia to drop in voice descriptions as it was recommended by Dr. Messner.
We are all looking forward to wrapping up the campaign and delivering what we’ve made to our client and the class.
