Group one’s fundraising strategy for World Pediatric Project first starts with the easiest way that WPP can start boosting its fundraising which is to add donations buttons to their pages where applicable, where that option is not available a link that takes you directly to a page that excepts donations, starting at 1 dollar will be added to bios and posts about fundraising, this will be headed up by Louis.
Second we thought that World Pediatric Project could use twitter, instagram, and vine to profile individual children by sharing photos and videos to tell their story and how donations, even small ones can change this child’s life. With a link to a donation website in the caption of the post or directions on how to donate, also through this profiling of the children those who donate can enter into a contest through rafflecopter for something cheap like Squirrel’s tickets which also reverts back to the local theme, this will be headed up by Matt.
Next we would create a GoFundMe for the cost that it takes to bring a child back from Central America or the Caribbean. In this we would outline what WPP does and why they need money to bring the children back to the US. As you donate there will be small gifts that are given as incentives but also to create awareness. Things like branded apparel or gel bracelets, this will be headed up by Mehtab.
Lastly we would again use our partnership with VCU’s Children’s Hospital to gain awareness and fundraising in the Richmond community. We could have a campaign where every dollar that people donate towards WPP during the month of November VCU Children’s Hospital will match. This would be promoted on both WPP’s and VCU Children’s Hospital’s social medias heavily in the weeks before it starts and then during, this will be headed up by Shanique.
Group one is implementing multi media components throughout this fundraising strategy. We are relying heavily on pictures and videos on instagram, twitter, and vine to convey the stories of the children’s lives World Pediatric Project are changing in Central America and the Caribbean. We are also using instagram on our own each week to promote World Pediatric Project and its mission.
