For this reflection assignment, our group (Team 9) came up with a fundraising strategy and multimedia components for the final social media campaign project for our client, World Pediatric Project.
Fundraising Strategy for World Pediatric Project:
Expanding their local audience in Richmond by establishing relationships with new or potential donors through low cost events in popular parks, such as Monroe park and Maymont park. Invite VCU students, University of Richmond students, and local Richmonders, such as residents in the fan.
Multimedia Component for World Pediatric Project:
What we will do for the non profit client:
Help them establish engagement on instagram and expand their audience to younger, potential lifetime donors.
To expand their audience with our fundraising strategy, the World Pediatric Project could post their local events on their established social media platforms, such as their Facebook and twitter to get the word out and have people from their audience attend and spread the word.
As for their Instagram platform, visual content is playing a bigger role in communication, organizations are seeking to expand on that within their current media platforms or rising platforms like Instagram. With a primary focus on Instagram and how we can use the platform to better interact and connect with World Pediatrics Projects audience, we can implement a couple strategies that give its audience something to look forward to.
One is that the World Pediatric Project can set up a weekly or biweekly video posting on Instagram that connects and shares the works from different countries. This gives our audience something to look forward to and come back to each week (or biweekly) and also helps share the global standpoint and care World Pediatric Project gives. Instagram photo content can also include a focus on a scheduled set of pictures in different categories.
For a more widespread and in-depth look into the organization other content should include a variety of patient, employee and campaign graphic visuals. Relevant global operational location photos such as the African sahara will give a colorful perspective into where donors are making a difference.
Also, the use of vivid images and hashtags on their instagram, for example their hashtag #healachild and a new one we thought of, #globalembrace.
As for who is doing what:
The whole group will be doing their own portion of this social media campaign paper as well as final presentation. It will get done before the due date.
