Team 2’s multimedia element will be lead by Joey. We had a brilliant thought about how the RVA sticker is something that Richmond holds near and dear to their heart. So we are creating a series of World Pediatric Project RVA stickers, 5 to be exact. Joey will use Adobe Photoshop to create striking RVA stickers. We believe that these stickers are a proclamation of how much the organization truly enjoys being a part of Richmond’s community. It is a great way to raise awareness, because everyone will start seeing these stickers, and look World Pediatric Project up on Google, so they can learn about all that they do. These stickers will vary from the WPP logo, to the actual pictures that WPP has graciously shared with us over Flickr. The images of these logos could also be turned into Istagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pintrest posts. Once Joey is done with designing the stickers, everyone in team 2 will post these deigns on our designated social media platforms. We want striking images to distinct what WPP does and how important Richmond is to their mission.
Our fundraising plan is also revolved around how important Richmond is to the World Pediatric Project. As many of you know, when there aren’t sufficient resources to provide surgery to children at their homeland, so WPP brings these kids to Richmond. For that time period these kids are fellow Richmonders. We think that the fundraising portion of our camping would be revolved around a plane ticket for one of these kids in need. It could a goal of one plane ticket or two, depending on what WPP considers the most attainable. We also think that this would be a great way involve local Richmond companies. We would partner with local for-profits and start a neighborhood war on who can raise the most money. Some examples would be, Sugar Shack for Carver, World of Mirth for Carytown, and Tweed for the Shortpump area. Molly will take on this challenge and find more places in different neighborhoods like the Fan and Shockoe Bottom. These for-profits could battle it out for who will raise the money for the plane ticket the fastest. World Pediatric would naturally let their publics know that the rest of money raised would be used for things like new equipment. We know our crowdfunding efforts would be a hit in Richmond. WPP taking the child to the for-profit that won the contest when they get here would make for an epic story. For example, if World of Mirth won, the child would go visit the toy story where people can meet him or her. These photos will be great for social media as well. This could be a great place for WPP to set up a booth and tell people about their efforts. This could also be a great place for them to sell the World Pediatric Project RVA stickers.
