A new organization was born in the 1860s by William Booth in the East End of London, England. It grew rapidly from the beginning with only 10 fulltime worker into an abrupt 10,000 volunteers. Their organization has been passed down through years of men of all age. Its history and place among so many men to provide such circumstantial services to so many still poses as a model for many to idolize or to copy.
The passing of General Booth in 1912 was heart wrenching to the heart of the newly formed organization, but it molded a groundwork for the greater onward steps with Bramwell Booth, who eventually succeeded him. The Salvation Army is helping series of individuals in this Country and viewing large heaps of Americans who are craving certain necessities, which are unfortunately not met on personal levels the organization has reached an estimate of 30 million people with their aid.
The Salvation Army offers a series of services, which include the following for displaying support for Adults: Adult Rehabilitation, Veterans Affairs Services, Prison Ministries, Elderly Services, Combating Human Trafficking, and Missing Persons. There specific strategies to support the children and Families include the following: Hunger relief, housing and Homeless services, Christmas assistance, youth camps and recreation, and KROC center. They provide internationals outreach hands of aid in the certain ways of: World Service office and sponsorship. Last but not least they always make time to provide their support in times of dior need, Disaster Services. “Did you know that the average person spends approximately seven hours a month on Facebook? The same study found that 82% of social media users and 85% of Twitter users participate in a group or organization. This year alone, 70% of the digital universe will be created by users, not professionals. Studies like this have made it quite clear that the church must engage in social media if it wants to have a lasting ministry.”
From our google hangout we have learned that developing a relationships with the audiences. Allowing their organization to engage the viewer is of primary importance. You need to make sure that it is known that money is imperative, but the ongoing bond accompanied by understanding is a necessity that is unable to be denied. The Salvation Army has surpassed basic bonds, it has reached a level of awareness that goes beyond the expectations of many. “This particular organization has created series of positions for interns to create and be an important part to supporting their social media sites that help aid the organization in different cities across America.”
