Charity Water a non-profit raising money to provide clean water around the world. Although I had not heard of this organization before watching the Google Hangout, I am very impressed with their website alone. I believe viewers love going to a website and being about to navigate and feel comfortable and overwhelmed with "donate, donate, donate" signs plastered in every corner. And in most cases this where is begin for new supports so it's great to have a great website that you can link in your social media outlets.
One social media outlet that stood out to me the most however is Twitter. I never been to engaged into one's twitter so much. The pictures they post are great. All around I think they are very effectively showing non-profits what a social media platform should be. They are posting frequently, I believe everyday and it's not just facts and updates but it's actual content from their website, pictures, links to stories and more.
They also remain relevant to their followers by retweeting their followers. I think this type of engagement is very important for non-profits who are looking to expand and become more well known. This is special to Charity Water and only a few other non-profits that I have researched. Response is everything to a followers so just that simple retweet may get them to give back to the organization.

What I like about different organizations and particularly their twitter feeds is seeing if they engage with their followers or not. When I hear that those part of the organization are doing what they can to retweet followers and have a conversation, it makes me realize that they care. While watching the Charity Water google hangout, I really liked that their main goal involved inspiration, and when I did my write up that is what I focused on because even now, it still sticks with me. It makes me excited for what they have in the future and I honestly can’t wait to see what other campaigns they come up with.

I completely agree that the way that Charity Water has their website set up is extremely user friendly. I think that viewers appreciate the time to be able to look at and lean more before they feel like they are being harassed to donate to a cause. Charity Water gives people just that. I can also see how this organization is really making a point to interact with its followers on twitter. Nearly everyone has a twitter but not everyone can engage on the platform in the most effective way. This gives people a chance to ask questions and truly feel connected to the organization and its cause before they give money.

Twitter is a great platform for a nonprofit like charity water to thrive, especially if they don’t spend any money on advertising. Retweeting is such an easy and effective way to spread a message and it’s so underrated that it blows my mind. Throw in a picture in the tweet and I’m sure it is even more effective. Do you think the variety of content on twitter makes their pictures more effective? Or would you rather scroll through their feed and see picture after picture? Surely not every tweet will get read, but it’s good to change it up every now and then. I’m a fan of their twitter, but maybe would be good to get some more 2-way communication between their followers.
