I am absolutely loving everything about this charity and all that they stand for. They are ranked very highly on top 100 lists of best campaigns out their and now I see first hand why. This is an organization I could really see myself getting into for many reason. The first and most important being I love what they do and are accomplishing; they could really grow and change the world. The number one thing that really made them stand out to me and I am sure I am not the only one to say this, but oh my goodness that photography of theirs. It is truly stunning and that alone had me hooked on their Facebook site. The angles of the camera, the colors, the people they chose to photograph... it is all very genius and well crafted. I think I remember that being one thing mentioned in one of the lectures, that it was important to have your visual advertising be as aesthetically pleasing as possible for this is how you are communicating with people around the world; these pictures truly do speak for themselves and I tip my hat to their photography department.
Along with many of the stunning photos, they include videos, and reading to better allow us to see what Charity Water is all about. They also do another thing mentioned (I believe it was mentioned) that one important thing to try to accomplish with visual advertising was taking the time to post and write to people who are commenting and or to take a moment to say thank you to those who do donate or help out. And I saw a couple things like that on their Facebook as well, which I found to be really nice and actually very motivations. The use of words on images is another important aspect of visual marketing and I see that Charity Water also makes a point to convey message with a mix of words and an image which I sometimes think is the best way to come across. I only say this because I know that it was mentioned that it was important to be able to convey messages quickly and in the most concise way- people are more likely to remember it that way. Overall, I do see Charity Water as doing great things and they sure do know how to convey they through these media sites and virtual advertising. A lot of other non profit campaigns could learn a thing or two from them!
