Charity Water’s idea of inspiration is a fantastic plan and radiates all the way through their actions. Their facebook page has about 300,000 likes, but it seems like they could easily have more. Their page is enjoyable to look at. I feel their focus of great photographs is a pusher of this. The pictures are brightly colored with all sorts of people being happy. There is happiness all over the page. Being able to show your supporters the people that they made happy is a very strong idea and also looks great. I like their logo of a jerry can. It is just a very clear icon and it either carries fuel or water. It has a distinct shape and a very clear X indent. If presented well it would be iconic. The idea of good photography is attempted by many groups, but is challenging depending on their subject. Charity water is taking photos of happy people who now use the wells and other resources for water that have been built to help them with their way of life. Charity Water’s photos have strong bright colors with lots of light. You see them and you want to be in a vibrant place like that. And now they have clean water. Charity Water’s photos are also taking in a way that draws your eyes in because of the way it’s focused. Sometimes, I would say, is that the photos are focused in a way that catches your brain of guard and makes you stop, think and look a little harder.
Charity Water posts a lot of images on social media, which I am sure they share across all their platforms. On Charity Water’s facebook the image posts are odd in comparison to most brands on facebook where the words they post with the images are very short. People complain about the character limit on twitter, which I think is just challenge to be better. Charity Water doesn’t take advantage with their photo posts. Not saying I think they should its just something I notice. They do make other posts with much longer stories. Charity Water’s use of stories is strong, but I feel they could easily combine it with their photos that they post often.
The interview with Paul Young was great because of his enthusiasm and being able to people straightly too us and not so much be worried about what he could and could not say. He even spoke about his personal position on things.
