Charity water uses 100% social media to advertise. Their website does not get a lot of track as social media so they rely on it as a main outlet. Charity : Water prides themselves in being able to target a broad audience without having to spend money on advertising such as print and commercials. Charity water does not play on guilt, they focus on promoting inspiration. They focus on building relationships to inspire their audience to get involved and stay connected with the issue. Charity water is an organization that gives 100% of the donations to their projects. They have two models to disperse the donations, one is budgeting the funds to fund employees and the other is to fund projects.
What is impressive about this charity is that they rely on social media interaction and the power of being able to reach audiences all over the world.
Charity Water does not use Facebook as a main platform because Facebook does not provide support for non profits. Charity water engages online by making the audience feel inspired through retweets and following tweeters. They remain “social” and get to know their followers. They do not focus on how many likes or followers they get. Culture is an important aspect to Charity: Water. Instagram is a big platform for them because they have a lot of powerful photography. They are one of the most followed organization on Instagram as well as their page has been used in ads for instagram. Charity: Water allows for free-range in creativity. They gain their content by sending their team to the field to obtain content. They manage their creative direction in NewYork with a creative team. All of Charity: Waters images are well done and look professional. They also obtain the photos through other social media uses that specialize on taking photographs. Charity Water would like to grow in their organization to meet the $100 million dollar goal. Expanding on their two major social medias of Twitter and Instagram is their continuing goal.
