Out of the two organizations, I chose to focus on Charity Water. It's a newer organization, created just 8 years ago. Their goal is to bring clean and safe water to developing countries. This is such an important thing in today's world, we dont realize how lucky we are to be drinking safe water every day. Charity Water wants to make sure everyone in the world has that same opportunity about us. Our bodies function off water so it's such a necessity in every day life. They use all the different technology platforms to spread the word across the world.
After going through the different social medias, I think the one I'd like to focus on is their Instagram account. They have a variety of posts and alreadyhave so many people viewing them. I'm not sure when the Instagram account was created, but they've accumulated227,000 followers already on just their Instagram. They're often happy posts, putting you in a good mood instead of making you feel bad for the "victims". Water is obviously the main point of the posts, which is featured on many of them. They display information on the posts to about why they posted such and what it's for. It's actually fun to look at instead of like a chore. They also follow over 1,000 people, so you can tell they're also interested in what other people/organizations are doing. This gives them the friendly outlook instead of someone that only cares about themselves. The posts receive many like and there's a lot of feedback from other users commenting on them. The positivity of the posts is what's going to get me to keep checking back on them and even give them a follow!
