Hi Matthew, What type of tracking or measurement tool are you currently using for social media? Does the organization set any monthly or weekly goals for engagement or reach?

Hi Matthew!
Our team is creating a new hashtag and short video concept as part of our campaign for The Preemptive Love Coalition. My question is if the pictures we attach to the hashtag can be posted and shared on social media platforms as part of our engagement initiative. Or would you guys prefer for us to wait until we submit the strategy at the end of the course for you all to approve it before the campaign goes into affect?
Thank you!

Hi Matthew,
When our team is putting together ideas for your organization to maybe use one day, are you trying to go in a more creative direction with your Instagram posts involving more supporters to share and like your uploads (i.e. something that you involve them in to take pictures of and tag your organization), or do you prefer to have more educational posts to appeal to those you just want to increase awareness in (like more educational posts i.e. picture with a small description)?
Thank You!

Hi Matthew,
On your website you have a wonderfully detailed section about how donations convert into projects and possibilities for the group. Can you give us an idea of what a microdonation could do for you? Specifically $1, $5, $10 or $20? Our campaign strategy calls for a focus on microdonations and we wanted to see if we could extend a scale for donations similar to your current one.
Thanks!

Hey Caty, I typically review Google Analytics each week to see what kind of traffic we're getting from TW and FB. I also use the built-in analytics tools for both of those, though they are pretty limited. Goals differ depending on what kind of content/campaign we're running, but we do have general weekly goals for reach and engagement, yes. Does that help? Sorry this reply is coming so late!

You may have already gone ahead with posting as I've seen several hashtags floating around from your classmates. Coming up with a great, non-cheesy hashtag that is both 1) generally understandable/excitable and 2) has that short, punchy virility that a good hashtag needs is just tough. I look forward to seeing what all you guys come up with, though!

Thank You! It really depends on how good the concept and content are, but I'd be will to explore both of these. When done well, I love the idea of user-generated content around a particular theme or meme. I also enjoy sharing educational posts with our people, though I try to avoid making them overly pedantic. So the short answer: yes to both options, so long as the images are beautiful, the concept is solid, the captions are clear and purposeful, and the whole post is accomplishing one of our goals.

Our campaign strategy calls for a focus on microdonations and we wanted to see if we could extend a scale for donations similar to your current one. Thanks! Hey there, Good question. In the past, we've raised money for medical supplies, sometimes breaking it down as follows: $9 - packet of sutures for a heart operation (these are stitches doctors use in surgery) $49 - the cost of a large heart patch, used to patch holes in kids' hearts $280 - provides an entire 'supply kit' for a heart surgery The challenge of this is always variable costs, since supply costs change. But we have taken the average after years of helping pay for this stuff, and those are some of the averages. We found people enjoyed helping pay for specific objects, though we now divide costs up differently on our /donate page. That help? Thanks for thinking about this! Hopefully we can also work out microdonations for people supporting displaced families in Iraq as well.
